How to access BrettVM?

To access BrettVM users will need to use the native currency of the network, BRETT, which is available on Base or directly from BrettVM. BRETT from Base can be bridged to BrettVM to be used for any transactions or applications on the network.

BRETT is available on centralized & decentralized exchanges which can be found under the markets tab on coinmarketcap or coingecko.

What is a Layer 3?

A Layer 3 is a blockchain that operates independently but settles transactions on a Layer 2 network (e.g. BrettVM settles to Base).

What are the differences to Layer 1, 2 & 3 ?

Layer 1s (e.g. Ethereum) are typically general purpose blockchains that have established their own security and reward mechanisms for maintaining the integrity of the network. Layer 2s (e.g. Base) generally extend the capabilities of a Layer 1, which are often riddled with high costs and longer wait times albeit more secure, by offering its own dedicated blockspace for applications and batching these transactions to then be confirmed by the Layer 1 in the future. While Layer 3s also inherent security from preceding layers it can further extend scalability with speed and costs making it an ideal network for specific applications such as gaming, decentralized finance/social & more.
